Hello, I'm Nicole!

My name is Nicole Busacker, and I am an optimistic young adult and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Family Life from Brigham Young University and am a certified teacher of Anxiously Engaged, a marriage preparation course.

I love to do pretty much anything from reading Harry Potter, dancing, playing the flute, exercising, to spending time with family and friends.

My Other Half

My husband, Chase, has been a huge support to me in creating this blog and achieving all my other ambitions . He helps me to enjoy life more and makes a normal day an adventure!

The Busacker Family

Chase and I are the parents of two precious girls, Charity and Sylvia. We enjoy spending time with them and watching them grow. Sometimes I think they teach us as much as we teach them!

About My Blog

the inspiration behind the posts

As I got to my senior year of high school and was getting ready to leave home, I wanted to spend every spare minute with my siblings and parents before I wouldn’t be under the same roof as them anymore. It was at this point in my life that I came to an important realization: other than God, family is the most important thing. Not just for me, not just for Christians, not just for family-centered people, but for the WORLD.

All people come to earth to a family. Not everyone’s family makeup is the same, but nonetheless, all of us have a mom, and all of us have a dad. Some of us have siblings, half-siblings, step-siblings, step-parents, foster parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, and/or uncles as well. No matter what the dynamic, every human being has a need to build and maintain healthy, happy relationships.

I write these posts in hopes that I can help others find and create joy in their family relationships. I recognize that family life is hard and that it is guaranteed to come with challenges, but that does not mean that we can’t enjoy it.

I fully believe that while we may share struggles, we can also share laughs, smiles, and happy memories.

This blog is unique because it is a blog based on Christian beliefs (specifically teachings from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), educational resources, and personal experience (including my own and people whom I am acquainted with). While I fully stand by and believe in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this blog does not represent the Church, nor does it apply only to members of the Church. I use a variety of sources because I believe that multiple sources of knowledge and truth can be effective in helping people find they tools they need to build the happy relationships they are seeking. I have also found these sources very useful in helping me build my own relationships.

I hope you find what you are looking for and that you will be given a few extra tools in your toolbox to build your happy family!
